The visiting delegation led by the Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria Rosen Dimitrov Zhelyazkov went to the Alley of Honour on 4 March to pay their respects in memoriam our people’s National Leader, architect and builder of the modern Azerbaijani State Heydar Aliyev. A wreath was installed at his tombstone and fresh flowers were put on the tombstone.

Then, the Bulgarian parliamentary delegation went over to the Martyrs’ Lane to commemorate the heroic sons of the Motherland who parted with their lives for the sake of her freedom and sovereignty. Their gravestones were adorned with fresh flowers, too. Besides, the guests put a wreath at the Eternal Flame Memorial.

The delegation members then listened to the story of the Martyrs’ Lane and the building work going all over Baku as they were observing the cityscape from the capital’s highest point.

The Bulgarian guests were accompanied by the Head of the Azerbaijan-Bulgaria Inter-Parliamentary Relations Working Group Rauf Aliyev and other officials.
