The visiting delegation led by Andreas Minnich who heads the Austria-South Caucasus Parliamentary Group went to the Martyrs’ Lane on 4 March to honour the memory of the Motherland’s heroic sons who had laid down their lives in the struggle for her freedom and sovereignty. The fallen warriors’ gravestones were adorned with fresh flowers.

Then, as they observed the cityscape from Baku’s highest point, the Austrian MPs listened to a narrative about the history of the Martyrs’ Lane and about also the amenity and building work going on all over the capital.

On this visit, the delegation were accompanied by the Head of the Milli Majlis Working Group for inter-parliamentary relations with Austria Tahir Mirkishili and other officials.
