Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova has had a meeting with Secretary General of the International Parliamentarians’ Congress Senator Sitara Ayaz.

They commented on the significance of the VI World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue hosted by Azerbaijan and the discussions at it. Baku’s hosting of the event was praised and so was Azerbaijan’s contribution to the dialogue of cultures and civilisations.

Also, they talked over co-operation between the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan and the International Parliamentarians’ Congress. The active involvement of the Parliament of Azerbaijan in the IPC work and the remarkable role of the Milli Majlis in the making of institutional co-operation with the Parliamentary Network of the Non-Aligned Movement, the IPC, the Asian Parliamentary Assembly and the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States was duly underscored.

Besides, opinions were exchanged about other topics of shared interest.
