A plan of practical activities (a ‘road map’) to develop inter-parliamentary co-operation during the years 2024-2025 has been signed between the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Speaker of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan Sahiba Gafarova signed the document for the Azerbaijani side; for the Uzbek side, Speaker of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbayeva attached her signature.

It was remarked at the signing ceremony that the current high level of mutual relations between our friendly and brotherly countries as well as Heads of State provided a momentum for the continued expansion of the links between the two legislative assemblies as well. The significance of the signed Roadmap for the on-going deepening of the collaboration of our parliaments was emphasised in this regard.

It should be mentioned that the document contains provisions concerning arranging reciprocal visits, exchanging legislative experience, interaction in international parliamentary organisations and other matters.
