Delegation of Kazakhstan Parliament’s Senate Visit Great Leader’s Grave, Go to Martyrs’ Lane

The delegation of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan led by Chief of the Kazakh Parliament’s Staff Maxim Spotkay visited the graveside of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and went to the Martyrs’ Lane on 14 August.

First, the delegation went to the Alley of Honour to pay deep respect to the memory of Heydar Aliyev, the National leader of our people, architect and builder of the modern state of Azerbaijan. Flowers were laid at his tombstone.

Then, the guests arrived at the Martyrs’ Lane to honour the memory of the Motherland’s heroic sons who had laid down their lives for the freedom and sovereignty of their country. Their gravestones were adorned with fresh flowers. The guests also called at the Eternal Flame memorial.

As they were enjoying the panorama of Baku from the city’s highest point, the guests then were told of the history of the Martyrs’ Lane and the building and renovation work under way around the capital.

The delegation were accompanied by Deputy Chief of the Milli Majlis Staff Rustam Mahmudov and other officials.
