Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova Arrives in the Swiss Confederation on a Working Visit

A parliamentary delegation led by Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova arrived in Geneva, in the Swiss Confederation, on a working visit on 13 October.

At Geneva International Airport, the Speaker of the Milli Majlis was welcomed by Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Switzerland Fuad Isgandarov and Azerbaijan's Permanent Representative to the UN Office and the units of other international organisations in Geneva Galib Israfilov as well as other officials.

As part of the visit, Sahiba Gafarova will participate in the 149th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union and hold meetings with the Heads of Delegation from the participating countries and other officials. The Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament is also expected to deliver a speech at the 149th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union.
