Milli Majlis Speaker Sahiba Gafarova Sends a Congratulatory Letter to Speaker of Great National Assembly of Türkiye

Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova sent a congratulatory letter to Head of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, Numan Kurtulmuş, on the occasion of the national holiday of the Republic of Türkiye – the Republic Day that is celebrated on 29 October.

In her letter, Sahiba Gafarova relates the sincerest congratulates and best wishes to the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye and the fraternal Turkish people on her behalf and on behalf of the Members of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament wrote that the remarkable victory gained by the heroic people of Türkiye 101 years ago as well as the national development steps taken since the inception of the Republic and the comprehensive progress, especially achieved over the past years, have rightfully made the Republic of Turkey one of the world’s leading and strongest countries.

The brotherhood and alliance of Azerbaijan and Türkiye that rest on the shared will of our nations which are united with the common history, roots as well as spiritual values are in their zenith today. Those relations develop and grow stronger, and are fully aligned with the ‘One nation – two states’ principle.

It is stated in the letter that, as in all areas of interstate relations, our unity and solidarity are successfully continuing in the sphere of inter-parliamentary co-operation. A confidence is expressed that our joint efforts will further contribute to strengthening and expanding bilateral and multilateral ties, as well as effective and active cooperation between the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye.
