The parliamentary delegation led by the Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova arrived in St. Petersburg, Russian Federation, on 20 November on a working visit to participate in the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly Council meeting and the 57th Plenary Session of the CIS IPA.

 At Pulkovo Airport, the delegation were welcomed by Andrey Anvarovich Alasgarov, Deputy Chairman of the Budget and Finance Committee of the Legislative Assembly of St Petersburg, and Secretary General of the CIS IPA Council Dmitry Arkadyevich Kobitsky as well as Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Russia Rahman Mustafayev, the Milli Majlis's Permanent Representative to the CIS IPA Aydin Jafarov, and other officials.

 As part of the visit Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova is scheduled to deliver speeches at the meetings of the CIS IPA Council and the 57th Plenary Session as well as hold a series of meetings with the heads of parliamentary delegations participating in the event.
