The Secretariat of the CIS IPA Council has sent a letter of condolences to Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova in connexion with the crash of Azerbaijan Airline’s passenger jet not far from Aktau.

The letter goes: ‘On behalf of the Secretariat of the Council of the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly, we express our deepest condolences in connection with the tragic crash of the Azerbaijani aircraft. 

  ‘The plenipotentiary representatives of the Parliaments of CIS IPA Member States share the grief of the Azerbaijani people and extend their heartfelt condolences to the families and loved ones of those who perished in this terrible tragedy.’
