Speaker of the Assembly (parliament) of Turkmenistan Dünýägözel Gulmanowa has sent Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova a letter of condolences concerning the recent air crash.

The letter says, ‘On behalf of the Members of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan we express deepest condolences in connexion with the disaster of the Azerbaijan Airlines passenger plane that resulted in heavy loss of life and injuries to a large number of people.’

‘On these sinister days, we are asking that our heartfelt condolences and words of comfort be conveyed to the families and friends of those killed in the crash, and we also wish a speedy recovery to the injured.’
