The parliamentary delegation led by Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova have called at the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Rome as part of their current visit to Italy.

The Speaker of the Milli Majlis was made aware of the arrangements and amenities within the building, and introduced to the Azerbaijan Culture Centre operating under the aegis of the Embassy.

It was mentioned that the office-rooms had every necessary condition for the diplomatic corps in place. The meeting-rooms house photo exhibitions describing the highlights of the Azerbaijani-Italian relations, President Ilham Aliyev’s trips to the liberated territories and the Italian-published books about Azerbaijan.

The interior design of the Culture Centre incorporates Azerbaijan's state symbols and elements of national art, including the shebeke stained glass mosaics. Various exhibition halls at the Centre display artefacts reflecting Azerbaijan's history. All necessary facilities are in place for hosting various events and meetings.

The visitors were told that the Azerbaijan Culture Centre had on display the Italian-language books that had been published by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and cover Azerbaijan’s culture, arts and crafts, petroglyphs, the miniature painting art, the national music, jewellery pieces and carpets. Also, the Centre demonstrates the books about the history, culture, literature and foreign politics of Azerbaijan that have been published in Italy over the recent years.

The Kharibulbul models made by the winners of the Kharibulbul International Arts Festival are on show in the Embassy courtyard.
