Speaker of Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova Receives Outgoing Ambassador of Belarus Andrey Ravkov

Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova has met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to Azerbaijan Andrey Ravkov, who has completed his diplomatic mission in our country, on 24 January.

The conversation broached Andrey Ravkov's fruitful role as ambassador in expanding the ties between our countries.

It was noted that the relations between Azerbaijan and Belarus cover all areas and are based on the principles of friendship. The great importance of the high-level relations between the presidents of both countries in advancing those ties was also emphasized. The discussion also touched on the role of reciprocal high-level visits and extensive political contacts in fostering the development of bilateral relations.

The efficient co-operation of our countries in international organisations was brought up as well.

Our inter-parliamentary relations are an important aspect of co-operation between our countries, and the legislative bodies of both nations successfully collaborate on a bilateral basis as well as within international parliamentary organisations.

Ambassador Andrey Ravkov expressed his gratitude for the care and support given him during his tenure in our country and voiced his confidence in the continued development of relations between our two countries.
