The members of the Milli Majlis Vugar Bayramov, Rauf Aliyev and Iltizam Yusifov took part in the online meeting of the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly’s Committee on Energy Security held online on 19 April.

The report ‘Towards energy security, diversification and independence; addressing capacity needs for strengthening European energy policy and countering energy security threats in the Eastern Partnership’ was presented first. The commenting participants of the meeting spoke of energy security and security, and made their relevant considerations be known.

As the next item, namely, ‘The European Green Deal and its implications and opportunities for building energy security and resilience in the Eastern Partnership’, was discussed then. The speakers touched on the problems of green energy promotion and decarbonisation of economy and energy systems. There was an exchange of opinions about possible co-operation formats in this area as well as about other matters.
