Speaker of Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova Meets Inbound Belarusian Ambassador in Our Country

Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova has met with the newly appointed Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Belarus to our country Dmitry Pinevich.
During their conversation, the existing friendship resting on the trust between the nations and states was referenced with satisfaction. They also underscored the crucial role of the relationship between the Presidents of the two countries, Ilham Aliyev and Alexander Lukashenko, in developing bilateral co-operation. Besides, it was pointed out that the Azerbaijan-Belarus relations have significantly strengthened and reached a qualitatively new level in recent years thanks to the political will of the Heads of State as well as to the high-level dialogue and close contacts. Azerbaijan and Belarus co-operate in many areas at present.
The significant role of the legislative bodies in the development of bilateral relations was highlighted during the meeting. Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova recalled her official visit to Belarus and emphasised the robust contacts between the leadership of the Parliaments and MPs of both countries. The legislatures collaborate both on a bilateral basis and within international parliamentary organisations successfully.
Speaker Sahiba Gafarova wished the Ambassador success in his diplomatic mission in our country.
Dmitry Pinevich said he considered his appointment as Ambassador to Azerbaijan an honour before mentioning the heartfelt hospitality and care he had been met with in the country. He stressed that he would make every effort to further expand co-operation between Azerbaijan and Belarus.
The meeting also saw an exchange of views on other matters of shared interest.
