At the Meeting of the CIS IPA Permanent Commission on Social Policy and Human Rights

The CIS IPA Permanent Commission on Social Policy and Human Rights held an online meeting on 21 April under the Commission Chairman and member of the Milli Majlis Committees for Law Policy and State-Building, and for Defence, Security and Counter-Corruption Nizami Safarov.

The draft joint declaration ‘On the Measures of Legislative Support for Labour Migration in the Pandemic Period’ co-authored by the CIS IPA, the Regional Office of the International Organisation for Migration and the Regional Office for Europe of the World Health Organisation was tabled during the videoconference.

Also, the Commission heard reports on the draft model laws ‘On Organ Donation’ and ‘On Maintaining the Equal Access to the HIV Infection Prophylactics and Treatment Services in the CIS Member-States’. Both draft laws were discussed by the participants. Besides, the Commission stated its attitude to the Draft Recommendation ‘On the Provision of Legislative Defence of Employee Demands in Cases of Corporate Bankruptcies’; several relevant ideas were motioned. Then, they discussed the concepts of the model laws ‘On the Social Advertising of Healthy Lifestyles’ and ‘On Digital Health Care’.

Next, the Commission discussed the progress in the preparations for the joint conference of the WHO Regional Office for Europe and the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly ‘The Universal Ambit of Health Care Services and the Sustainable Development Goals’

The member of both the Permanent Commission and the Milli Majlis Anatoly Rafailov took part in the remote meeting as well.
