The parliamentary delegation led by First Deputy Speaker of the Milli Majlis Ali Ahmadov will not participate in the 23rd meeting of the Inter-Parliamentary Co-operation Commission between the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, which was scheduled to take place in Moscow.

The reason for this stems from the demonstrative, targeted and lawless arbitrary acts of murder and violence against Azerbaijanis, committed by the law enforcement authorities on ethnic grounds in the city of Yekaterinburg, Russian Federation, as well as the recurring nature of such incidents in recent times.

The aforementioned visit of the Azerbaijani parliamentary delegation has been cancelled in light of the above.
