It being pursuant to Part II of Article 88 of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Members of the Milli Majlis have appealed to Speaker Sahiba Gafarova to convene an extraordinary session of Parliament.

Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova has signed an order to convene an extraordinary session of the Milli Majlis upon consideration given to the appeal. It follows from the order that a special sitting of the Milli Majlis will be held on 9 September as part of the extraordinary session, and will address the topic: ‘The Washington Agreements: A Triumph of Peace Diplomacy and Wise Leadership.’
