Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova had a meeting with Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to our country Paweł Radomski on 23 September.

Congratulating the Ambassador on the start of his diplomatic tenure, Sahiba Gafarova said she hoped that he as Ambassador would contribute to the continued expansion of the bilateral relations through his forthcoming work.

The rich history of the ties between our countries and peoples was brought up during the conversation; the current development of the relations between Azerbaijan and Poland in political and economic fields was mentioned with contentment, too. Besides, they high-lit the role of supreme and high-level visits in the progress of the relationship.

The positive part the relations between our parliaments play in the advancement of the relations and the significance of contacts to that end were spoken of then. The input of the work done by the friendship groups in the continued broadening of the relations between our legislative assemblies was underscored as well.

Ambassador Paweł Radomski shared favourable reflections on the progress of our country and her capital city of Baku. He mentioned his trip to our de-occupied lands and said how deeply he had been impressed by the extensive revival work under way over there.

Also, the conversation saw an exchange of views on other matters of shared interest.
