A meeting of Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova with Chairman of the Senate of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Sayed Raza Gilani took place in the format of her working visit to that country. Satisfaction was expressed at the meeting with the successful progress of the relations between our countries as based on the principles of friendship and brotherhood.

It was said that reciprocal visits of the countries’ leaders have played an important part in our relations’ achievement of a high level. Having underscored the special role of the Parliament in the progress of those relations, the Speakers praised highly the co-operation of our legislative bodies, bilaterally as well as upon various platforms.

In the conversation, the holding of the Third Trilateral Meeting of the Speakers of Parliament Azerbaijan-Pakistan-Türkiye was described as a contribution to the continued expansion of our relations; there was also an exchange of opinions about other matters of shared interest.
