Speaker of Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova Holds Scheduled Voter Reception

Speaker of the Milli Majlis, Member of Parliament for the Shamkir Town Election District No 102 Sahiba Gafarova has held a scheduled voter reception in the videoconference format.

At the meeting, the Speaker of the Milli Majlis informed the citizens of the multifaceted development policy being implemented in our country under the guidance of President Ilham Aliyev, its priorities and the unparalleled achievements of Azerbaijan. Also, the voters were made aware of the steps being taken to the backdrop of the economic development of the country to reinforce social protection of citizens and elevate the population’s living standards. Furthermore, information was provided during the meeting about the large-scale restoration and re-building work being implemented in the de-occupied territories of Azerbaijan, the successful realisation of the ‘State Programme of the Great Return’, the high state care and support for the shahid families and for our citizens who lost their health in war, and other measures.  

The Speaker heard appeals of the voters from the town of Shamkir as well as the settlement of Chinarli and the village of Tezekend of the Shamkir Province regarding a number of issues during the video reception. Since some issues raised in the appeals are of local nature, they have been forwarded for consideration of representatives of the Executive Authority. As regards the other portion of the appeals, queries were directed to the appropriate bodies with the purpose of those appeals’ examination, whilst the citizens were supplied with detailed explanations.
