Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova has received Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TURKPA) Ramil Hasan.

The importance of the work being done by the Turkic States’ organisations for the continued deepening of co-operation amongst our peoples which have common roots and shared national spiritual values, and amongst our brotherly countries, was underlined and the material role of the co-operation within TURKPA was high-lit in this context at the meeting. It was said that the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States had evolved into an effective mutually advantageous co-operation mechanism for our parliaments. The Milli Majlis continues its efforts to promote co-operation with the brotherly TURKPA Member States’ parliaments as well as multilateral co-operation.

There was an exchange of opinions about the Organisation’s forthcoming operations and perspective plans during the conversation. The Speaker of the Milli Majlis shared opinions about conducting the TURKPA work more rationally.

Ramil Hasan provided information about the work he does as TURKPA Secretary General and the discussions he holds in this capacity.
