Speaker of the Congress of Deputies of the Kingdom of Spain Francina Armengol Socias who is in our country on an official visit currently arrived at the Alley of Honour, paid tribute in memoriam our people’s National Leader, the architect and builder of the independent Azerbaijani State Heydar Aliyev and laid a wreath at his tombstone on 23 January.

As part of the visit, the guest went to the Victory Park in Baku and put a wreath down in front of the Victory Monument. She honoured the memory of those who died in action at the Patriotic War. After that, the guest was introduced to the Victory Museum established there. The Speaker of the Congress of Deputies of the Kingdom of Spain was informed that the museum exposition had been arrayed in line with international experience and based on the museum concepts existing in the world as well as with the use of the latest technologies. The Spanish Speaker toured the exposition rooms and acquainted herself with the facts telling the truth about the conflict, and the photo and video materials, interactive demonstrations and other exhibits presenting information about the progress of the 44-day Patriotic War and the restoration of the state sovereignty consequent to the glorious Victory.

On the visits the guest was accompanied by Head of the Milli Majlis Working Group for Inter-Parliamentary Relations with Spain Sevil Mikayilova, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Spain Ramiz Hasanov and other officials.
