A telephone conversation took place between Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova and Speaker of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Natalya Kochanova on 6 March.

An exchange of views regarding the events occurring in the region was held during the telephone conversation.

Natalya Kochanova voiced concerns over the drone attacks carried out by Iran on the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, expressed regret that civilian persons were injured in this assault and wished the wounded a speedy recovery.

The importance of continuing the dialogue and interaction between the parliaments of the two countries was high–lit in the telephone conversation which also had an exchange of views also took place on other matters of mutual interest.
