Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan is given Observer Status in Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean
The Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan has been given an observer status in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean. A relevant ceremony was organised on the sidelines of the 1st Summit of the Speakers of Parliament of Member and Partner States of Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean that was held on 7 May.
Speaker Sahiba Gafarova expressed gratitude for the decision to grant the Milli Majlis an observer status in the Organisation and praised the decision in her speech at the Summit. She said that the participation in the Assembly generated broader opportunities to continue strengthening and developing the ties with the Member Parliaments.
