The delegation led by Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Igor Sergeenko, in our country on an official visit, arrived at the Alley of Honour on 19 May to honour the memory of our people’s National Leader, architect and builder of the modern Azerbaijani State Heydar Aliyev; a wreath was installed at his tombstone, which was adorned with fresh flowers.

They also visited the resting-place of the outstanding ophthalmologic scientist Zarifa khanum Aliyeva whose tombstone was decorated with fresh flowers.

As part of the visit, the delegation went to the Victory Park in Baku and laid a wreath at the Memorial. The guests were informed of the people of Azerbaijan keeping in memory the glorious and historic Victory won in the Patriotic War and about also the Victory Park established to perpetuate the cherished memory of our shahids.

In these visits, the delegation were accompanied by Deputy Speaker of the Milli Majlis Ziyafet Asgarov, Head of the Milli Majlis Working Group for inter-parliamentary relations with Belarus Ziyad Samadzade and other officials.
