It was emphasised during the meeting that inter-parliamentary ties constitute an important part of our countries’ bilateral and multilateral relations. Contentment was expressed with the build-up of close links and the expansion of the contacts between our legislative bodies. Speaker Sahiba Gafarova brought up her visits to the United Kingdoms and meetings with Speaker of the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom Sir Lindsay Hoyle as well as MPs’ reciprocal visits.
