Deputy Chair of the Milli Majlis Adil Aliyev and MP Iltizam Aliyev will be in St Petersburg, Russia on 26-30 May for the XI Nevsky International Ecological Congress.

The opening ceremony of the plenary session of the Ecological Congress themed ‘Ecology of the Planet – Sustainable Development’ is expected to see speeches by Chair of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and Co-Chair of the Nevsky International Ecological Congress’ Organisational  Committee Valentina Matviyenko, DPM and Co-Chair of the same institution Victoria Abramchenko, Deputy Chair of the Milli Majlis Adil Aliyev, leaders of the CIS Member Nations’ parliamentary delegations and heads of the federal and regional state authorities.

The forum in St Petersburg will incorporate tours-de-table dedicated to such topics as the new climatic policy, management of forest resources, the green energy, closed-circuit economy, ecological security, using national resources rationally, the ecological problems of the Arctic, ecological education and eco-tourism.

MP Iltizam Yusifov is to speak at the tour-de-table ‘National Ecological and Environmental Protection Strategies and Projects: an Exchange of Experience’.
