A Meeting Held in Preparation for PACE Summer Session

The Milli Majlis Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe held a meeting on 8 June by way of preparing for the summer session of the PACE.

At the meeting, the Delegation Leader and Chairman of the parliamentary Committee for International Relations and Interparliamentary Connexions Samad Seyidov let it be known that the reports by the PACE Bureau and PACE Permanent Committee would be heard at the session due on 21-24 June. Besides, it is planned to elect judges to the European Court of Human Rights and discuss the parliamentary election outcomes from Bulgaria and Albania, freedom of media and public trust, the COVID badges and certificates, elimination of the socio-economic crisis caused by the pandemic, the European policy on diasporas and other topics.

That was followed by an exchange of opinions about the session agenda items. The Delegation members voiced their relevant remarks and suggestions.

Members of the Delegation Rafael Huseynov, Sevinj Fataliyeva, Asim Mollazade, Erkin Gadirli, Konul Nurullayeva, Nigyar Arpadarai, Tural Ganjaliyev, Sabir Hajiyev and Kamal Jafarov took part in the preparatory meeting.
