Chairman of the Milli Majlis Health Committee and Leader of the Working Group for inter-parliamentary contacts Azerbaijan-Turkey Ahliman Amiraslanov had a meeting on 30 June with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Turkish Republic to Azerbaijan Cahit Bağçı who is embarking on the ambassial mission in our country.

The progress of the relations between the friendly and fraternal countries in every area and field was mentioned at the meeting. It was said, besides, that the strategic connexions that exist between Turkey and Azerbaijan and the friendship and fraternity being reinforced by the leaders of both states would abide forever.

As Academician Ahliman Amiraslanov then noted, the close bonds that unite the friendly and brotherly Turkey and Azerbaijan are unparalleled the world over. The Azerbaijani MP referred to the parliamentary collaboration maintaining high standards as well as to the large-composition friendship groups active in the legislatures of the two states. Our MPs back each other in various important international organisations and, one could safely say, forever take the common ground, according to Mr Amiraslanov.

Ahliman Amiraslanov proceeded to inform the Turkish ambassador of the Azerbaijani parliamentary delegation’s visit to Turkey on 7-11 June 2021 and of the high-profile meetings held during that visit. He wished Mr Bağçı success in his forthcoming mission.

Ambassador Cahit Bağçı said his thanks for the warm welcome before stressing that he considered it a great honour to have to commence his service in Azerbaijan in such a period of historic significance. Mr Bağçı emphasised that the Turkish-Azerbaijani strategic relationship had a firm footing and, he remarked with confidence, would continue progressing.
