New Draft of Milli Majlis Disciplinary Commission’s Regulations is Ready

         The Law Policy and State-Building Committee and the Disciplinary Commission of the Milli Majlis had a video link-up together on 5 July where First Deputy Chair of the Milli Majlis and Committee Chairman Ali Huseynli introduced in his preamble the draft new Regulations of the Disciplinary Commission of the parliament.

Mr Huseynli said, whilst giving a general overview of the draft Regulations, that the nine-chapter document determined the procedures for forming and workings of the Disciplinary Commission as well as its powers and membership, and the rights and obligations of an MP under investigation by the Commission. The new draft is wrought in conformity with the current legislation. In particular, it defines the proceedings and timeframes of processing applications, presentations and relations submitted to the Commission.

Chairman of the Disciplinary Commission Eldar Ibrahimov noted that the changes in the new Regulations were meant to make the work of the Commission better.

Comments and questions followed from Deputy Chairman of the Law Policy and State-Building Committee Gudrat Hasanguliyev, the committee members Erkin Gadirli and Vugar Iskenderov, Deputy Chairman of the Disciplinary Commission Fazail Agamali and a commission member Malahat Ibrahimghizi.

It was decided in the end to table the draft Regulations of the Disciplinary Commission at a plenary sitting of the Milli Majlis.

The other participants of the videoconference were the Law Policy and State-Building Committee members Amina Agazade, Kamal Jafarov, Sabir Hajiyev, Tahir Karimli, Jabi Guliyev, Bahrouz Maharramov, Elshan Musayev and Nizami Safarov. Secretary of the Disciplinary Commission Nurlan Hasanov, the commission members Afat Hasanova, Nasib Mahamaliyev, Mashhur Mammadov and Mader Musayev as well as other officials sat in, too.
