Azerbaijani MPs to Monitor Moldovan Parliamentary Election

         On 8 June, a group of the members of the Milli Majlis will leave for Chișinău, the capital city of Moldova,  in order to monitor the extraordinary election to the Moldovan parliament.

MP Sabir Hajiyev will join the monitoring mission of the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) whilst MP Jala Aliyeva will be observing the upcoming election under the auspices of the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly. MP Elnur Allahverdiyev is going to be on the GUAM Parliamentary Assembly monitoring team and MP Elshad Mirbashir oglu is set to participate in the process for the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Co-operation.

The Azerbaijani MPs will go to several polling stations and watch constituent activity.

The journey to Moldova will come to an end on 13 July.

The MPs are elected as based on the majority electoral system by free, private and confidential vote reliant on the general, equitable and immediate suffrage. The tenure of a Milli Majlis convocation is 5 years.
