Azerbaijani-Kazakh Co-operation Is on the Increase

Chairman of the Milli Majlis Committee for International Relations and Inter-Parliamentary Connexions Samad Seyidov and the Committee members met on 10 September with the visiting delegation led by Aygul Kuspan, Chair of the International Relations, Defence and Security Committee of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

At the meeting, Samad Seyidov talked about the relations amongst our countries established throughout history, the immense role in their progress played by the co-operation between the two legislatures and the importance of the meeting of Chair of the Milli Majlis and Chair of the Mazhilis of the Kazakh Parliament Nurlan Nigmatulin in Vienna. Mr Seyidov proceeded to emphasise the need in yet stronger friendship bonding our nations and told the guests of the arrangements afoot in Shusha and the other de-occupied parts of the country, the launch of the newly-built airport of Fuzuli and the complete demining of the town of Agdam.

The delegation leader and Chair of the International Relations, Defence and Security Committee of the Mazhilis of the parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aygul Kuspan congratulated our nation on the restored historical justice and the great victory won in the 44 days’ Patriotic War. Mrs Kuspan noted that Azerbaijan had made its mark with a brilliant victory; she also stressed Kazakhstan’s support for the territorial integrity of our country. She and her delegation aspire to seeing Shusha and the de-occupied Garabagh, Mrs Kuspan said, adding that she hoped companies from Kazakhstan, too, would take part in the restoration and arrangement of Garabagh. The global import of the transport corridors that are to be created in the region was underlined as well.

Deputy Chair of the Milli Majlis Committee for International Relations and Inter-Parliamentary Connexions Sevinj Fataliyeva and MP Asim Mollazade then talked about co-operation expansion prospects.

The Kazakh MPs Darkhan Minbay and Abilfas Hamedov said, in turn, that their hearts were filled with joy at Azerbaijan’s victory and that they were certain that the new realia settled in the region would create a momentum behind the progress of the inter-parliamentary connexions. According to the guests, the victory in the 44-day Patriotic War and the arrangement, building and creation works under way in the lands liberated from occupation signified the prowess of Azerbaijan.

Members of the Milli Majlis Tural Ganjaliyev, Nasim Mahamaliyev, Sevil Mikayilova and Kamran Bayramov, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan Serjan Abdikarimov and his adviser Zhandos Nurmahambetov and the Kazakh delegation members Amerkhan Rahimzhanov and Almas Kulmaganbetov were also taking part in the meeting.
