Chair of Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova Begins Official Visit to Kazakhstan

The parliamentary delegation of Azerbaijan led by Chair of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova had completed their working trip to the Republic of Kazakhstan and arrived in the Kazakh capital of Nur-Sultan where their official visit to that country began.

Deputy Chair of the Mazhilis of the Kazakhstan Parliament Mrs Balaim Kesebaeva, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan Serjan Abdikarimov and other officials welcomed the speaker and the delegation of the Milli Majlis at the Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport.

From there, the Azerbaijani delegation went to our embassy in the Republic of Kazakhstan and took interest in the arrangements made at it for the staff and embassial activities. Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Kazakhstan Agalar Atamoglanov told the visitors of the work done at the embassy. Chair of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova and our MPs put a flower bouquet at the bust of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev at the diplomatic station and adorned with flowers the 27th of September – the Memory Day banner on the premises. Our shahids were commemorated.

Chair of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova also visited the Heydar Aliyev Museum situated at the embassy. She took interest in the museum staff’s work and left a heartfelt entry in the commemorative book.

Next, the delegation of the Milli Majlis travelled to the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan. They were introduced to the exhibits. The leader of the Azerbaijani parliament wrote in the Museum’s commemorative book and gave the Museum a gift.

Besides, the delegation of Azerbaijan called at the Nazarbayev University where they were shown the arrangements made for the teaching staff and told of the University in detail.
