Delegation Led by Chair of Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova Goes to St Petersburg

The parliamentary delegation led by the Chair of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova arrived in St Petersburg, Russian Federation on 12 October to join the Third Eurasian Women’s Forum.

Amongst the delegation members are a Milli Majlis committee chair Hijran Huseynova and the MPs Parvin Karimzade, Sevinj Fataliyeva, Ulviya Hamzayeva and Fatma Yildirim.

Azerbaijan’s Consul General to St Petersburg Sultan Gasimov, Chairman of the Committee for External Relations of St Petersburg Yevgheniy Grigoryev, the Permanent Envoy of the Milli Majlis to the CIS Parliamentary Assembly Aydin Jafarov and other officials welcomed our delegation at the Pulkovo Airport.

It is planned that the Chair of the Milli Majlis will speak at the forum that will be held at the Tauride Palace. Our delegation’s members are going to make Azerbaijan’s opinion marks regarding the subjects lined up for discussion; they will voice their own relevant ideas as well.

Chair Sahiba Gafarova is expected to have a series of meetings with the leaders of the participating delegations to discuss matters of mutual interest.

This visit ends on 14 October.
