A Meeting with Kazakh Guests at Milli Majlis

Chairman of the Milli Majlis Committee for Natural Resources, Energy and Ecology Sadig Gurbanov met with the delegation of PSA JSC, the Kazakh Government’s authorised production sharing agent in the North Caspian and Karachaganak projects, on 19 October.

The parliamentary committee Chairman expressed his pleasure at this opportunity to welcome the guests within the walls of his victorious country’s parliament and referred to Azerbaijan’s triumph in the 44 days’ Patriotic War as one off the Turkic World. Mr Gurbanov also recalled the support of Kazakh politicians and public activists to our just cause with gratitude.

Many centuries’ historical and cultural connexions and common values bind Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan together, Mr Gurbanov continued. The National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev built the foundation of our co-operation that the leaders of the two states continue successfully today, the committee chairman noted before speaking with satisfaction the inter-state co-operation within international organisations in general and under the aegis of the Turkic Council in particular. Our economic ties, especially, the interaction and experience exchange in petroleum upstream constitute a tradition that is upheld finely and commendably, according to Mr Gurbanov.

The attending member of the Milli Majlis Committee for Natural Resources, Energy and Ecology Iltizam Yusifov talked about the role of energy resources in the modern world, the energy security policy of Azerbaijan and the relevant perspective opportunities.

Chairman of the Board of PSA JSC Izbastin Beket, the company employees Dias Ibrashev and Ruslan Balikbayev as well as the Kazakh Ambassador to Azerbaijan Serjan Abdikarimov congratulated Azerbaijan on the victory in the Patriotic War, saying that that was a victory of justice. The guests showed interest in the production-sharing project management methods in Azerbaijan’s employ and the Azerbaijani experience of using conflict resolution methods and maintaining as well as streamlining the relevant legislative frameworks.

The member of the Milli Majlis Aliabbas Salahzade, the PSA JSC employee Bagdat Kuzhatov and other officials were taking part in the meeting, too.
