Chair of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova met with President of the National Council of the Federal Assembly of the Swiss Confederation Andreas Aebi on the sidelines of her current working trip to Greece on 21 October.

The bilateral relations progressing along diverse vectors and the existing high-level political co-operation’s favourable influence on the growth of the economic ties were noted during the meeting.

The meeting participants emphasised the roles of the legislatures of the two countries in the furtherance of the Azerbaijani-Swiss relations – including the positive impact coming from the work done by the friendship groups. They also underlined the importance of reciprocal visits and opinion exchanges in terms of further expansion of the relations between the legislative assemblies of the Azerbaijan Republic and the Swiss Confederation.

Also, bilateral and multilateral co-operation progress prospects and other matters of interest to both sides were touched on during the conversation.
