The commemoration of Elvin Elmar oglu Gurbanov who had fought self-forgetfully and was killed in action in the battle for Fuzuli of the 44 days’ Patriotic War took place in the Gusar Province on 19 October.

MP Azer Badamov, officials of the Gusar Province’s executive authority, the shahid’s relatives and the local public took place in the ceremony. They visited the grave of Elvin Gurbanov in the Martyrs’ Alley in the town of Gusar. Prayers for his soul were read and homage was paid to his memory. Then, the shahid’s family were visited to ask them about their issues and concerns. The family of Elvin Gurbanov thanked the Administration of the country for its respect for the families of all the servicemen fallen at the war and for the care taken of their families.

Incidentally, the shahid Elvin Elmar oglu Gurbanov was decorated with the medals ‘For the Motherland’ and ‘For the Liberation of Fuzuli’ to the decrees of the president of the Azerbaijan Republic posthumously.
