A remembrance ceremony was held in the settlement of Ghizildash in the Garadagh District for Seymour Ramiz oglu Sarkhoshov, one of our heroic sons fallen in the 44 days’ Patriotic War. MP Sabir Rustamkhanli, the shahid’s relatives and brothers-in-arms, public activists and the settlement residents were in attendance.

Sabir Rustamkhanli and the shahid’s comrades spoke at the ceremony, saying that Seymour Sarkhoshov had joined a military battalion then stationed in Fuzuli as a volunteer and covered with it the glorious path of combat up to Gubadli. He was decorated with the medals ‘For the Motherland’ and ‘For the Liberation of Khojavend’ posthumously to the relevant decrees of the president of the Azerbaijan Republic.

The ceremony attendants went to the graveside of the shahid Seymour Ramiz oglu Sarkhoshov in the settlement’s Martyrs’ Alley and read prayers for his soul.
