Deputy Chairman of the Milli Majlis Youth and Sports Committee Shahin Ismayilov met on 23 October a group of Beylagan Province students sporting high admission exam scores.

MP Ismayilov greeted the youth and gave them an outline of the history, activities, work arrangement and structure of the Parliament.

The students were walked around the Houses, after which they went to the National Leader Heydar Aliyev Hall of Memory where MP Ismayilov gave a narrative of the life path that could set an example for future generations. The legislator told the young visitors of the exhibits telling of the political and state work done by the National Leader. Also, the students were shown the copies of the Great Leader’s historic decisions and of his service and MP’s IDs on display there. The exhibits pertaining to various stages in the life of the genius leader were described as well.

Having come to the Chamber, the students were told how plenary sittings are conducted, the MPs are seated, the working conditions – including the modern tech achievements – in place for the lawmakers to enjoy and the quarantine-related arrangements.

Next, the youth were shown round the Istiglal, Garabagh and Khazar assembly halls and the Ipek Yolu and Odlar Yurdu meeting-rooms. The halls and the rooms were so named to the appropriate orders of Chair of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova so as to perpetuate the national historical and cultural heritage and to promote its transfer from one generation to another, the young visitors were informed.

Whilst at the library of the Milli Majlis, the students found out about its collection, the arrangements provided for MPs and members of staff, the software in use and the international book exchange systems of which the parliamentary library is a member.
