Patriotic War Shahids Will Live in Azerbaijani Hearts Forevermore

MP Eldar Guliyev took part in the year’s wake of Afghan Ramil oglu Nasirov in the settlement of Zabrat in the capital city’s Sabunchu District on 21 October.

The chairman of the settlement representative office, the head of one of its departments, officials and students of the Customs Academy, the shahid’s companions in arms, relatives and friends as well as the local residents were also there to commemorate Afghan Nasirov who had stood out for his bravery and was killed in the battles for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.

First of all, the assembled went to the grave of Afghan Nasirov in the local Martyrs’ Lane, read prayers for his soul and remembered with esteem all the shahids who had laid their lives down for their Motherland.

The participants of the wake shared their recollections of Afghan. They talked about his courage in the struggle for the native land and the peerless importance of the victory won in the 44 days’ War for the state and for the people alike.   

It was mentioned that the shahid Afghan Nasirov had been decorated with the ‘For the Motherland’ medal posthumously for his valour in the counter-offensive launched by our troops to restore the territorial integrity of the country and for the distinction with which he had discharged the combat duties put before the detachment in which he had served.

MP Eldar Guliyev wanted to know the concerns and issues of the shahid’s family. He thanked them for having raised such a brave one as Afghan Nasirov, adding that the cherished memory of the shahids would abide in the Azerbaijani hearts forevermore.
