MP Javid Osmanov who is acting head of the Agdash provincial branch of the NAP went to the Martyrs’ Lane in the province together with the seniors of the provincial administration, NAP activists, members of the local public, shahid families and gazies.

Having paid tribute to the memory of those who had parted with their lives for the integrity of their Motherland, the visitors to the Lane said prayers for the souls of the shahids.

The care with which President Ilham Aliyev had embraced the gazies and his attention and memory of the shahids were talked of at the ceremony. According to MP Javid Osmanov, the victorious Commander-in-Chief had made the 27th of September the Memory Day in honour of the soldiers and officers who had fought their way through the Patriotic War heroically, had raised the flag of Azerbaijan on our soil cleared of the invaders and had then gave up their lives in the name of the territorial wholeness of the country.

The speeches in the Martyrs’ Lane were followed by the planting of trees in memoriam the fallen warriors. The ceremony participants also went to the orchard previously made at the Agdash State Humanitarian College, again, in the memory of the shahids.

Javid Osmanov said that 32 dwellers of the Agdash Province had gone up to being shahids in the Patriotic War; he spoke of the nation’s reverence to those who had brought us the Victory. The families and children of the shahids are forever in the focus of the State, MP Osmanov emphasised.
