The one year’s wakes of the Patriotic War shahids who had risen to being shahids took place in the settlements of Baku’s Khazar District: of Sergeant Kamran Fuzuli oglu Hajiyev in Shuvelyan, of Gurbanali Elshad oglu Guluzade in Bina and of Emin Asif oglu Gadirov in Zira.

The wakes of the heroes fallen on the fields of battle brought together MP Soltan Mammadov, the Head of the Khazar District Administration Elshan Salahov, the shahids’ families and members of the public.

They talked about the shahids’ paths of war and paid tribute to their memory. It was said that the memory of every serviceman who had sacrificed his life for the freedom of the Azerbaijani lands was precious and that the victory of the Azerbaijani Army led by the Commander-in-Chief was written in our national history in golden letters. The unfailing state-level care of the families of the shahids who had written the triumphant page in our country’s annals in their blood and with their lives as well as of the heroic gazies was underlined as well.
