A member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea and member of the Korea-Azerbaijan inter-parliamentary connexions working group Jung Heeyong marked the approaching first anniversary of Azerbaijan’s Patriotic War with a letter he sent to the Azerbaijani embassy in Seoul expressing his sorrow and deepest condolences on the deaths of the 44-day war’s shahids. 

Also, MP Jung Heeyong refers in his letter to the advent of the thirtieth anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Korea and Azerbaijan and describes the approaching date as a historic one. He writes that he will discharge his duties as a member of the aforementioned working group with merit in order to support continued progress of the bilateral relations, friendship and co-operation strengthening and, in particular, maintenance of peace and completion of the restoration projects in our country’s de-occupied Garabagh Region.
