Chairman of the Great National Assembly of Turkey Mustafa Şentop congratulates the friendly and brotherly people of Azerbaijan on the Victory Day on behalf of the Turkish people and on his own in his letter to Chair of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova.

Writing that the relationship of the two states is based on the ‘one nation – two states’ slogan, the GNAT Chairman adds that the Turkish side shares Azerbaijan’s exultation about the righteous victory won in the Patriotic War.

Under the resolute leadership of the head of the Azerbaijani State, the esteemed Ilham Aliyev, the Azerbaijan that is dear to the Turks ended within 44 days the occupation that had lasted for 30 days and added a new victorious page to its history in that way. Shusha, which is of tremendous importance ‘to us all’, was liberated consequent to the just struggle on 8 November 2020, Mr Şentop writes. Also, Azerbaijan’s battlefield triumph was affirmed with the legal one with the signing of the Trilateral Declaration.

Mustafa Şentop pays his deepest respects to our precious heroes who rose up to the shahidism in the Patriotic War. He wishes the friendly and fraternal people of Azerbaijan well-being and prosperity and all the Azerbaijani MPs as represented by the Chair of the Milli Majlis he wishes successes.
