Head of the Israel-Azerbaijan inter-parliamentary friendship group of the Knesset (the Israeli parliament) Elina Bardach Yalov has sent the member of the Milli Majlis and head of the Azerbaijani legislature’s working group for the Azerbaijan-Israel inter-parliamentary connexions a letter congratulating him on the Victory Day on 8 November.

Ms Bardach Yalov emphasises the importance of the solid relationship that our countries have built over the last 30 years based on genuine friendship between the Israeli and Azerbaijani people.

‘As the new head of the Israel-Azerbaijan inter-parliamentary Friendship Group at the Knesset of Israel I am convinced that deepening of the existing ties between our parliaments will serve the future strengthening of our friendly relations. This year marks the first anniversary of the end of the Patriotic War in which after decades of occupation of the internationally recognised territories of Azerbaijan by Armenia, Azerbaijan restored its territorial integrity and sovereignty. On this occasion, I have the pleasure to congratulate you on the victory that you achieved in the 30-year-long conflict with Armenia. We hope that this victory will bring long-lasting peace and stability so that the people of Azerbaijan can live in prosperity,’ goes the letter from Ms Bardach Yalov.
