The commemoration of the heroes Tural Zahid oglu Juvarov and Sehun Rafig oglu Ibrahimzade who had fallen on the Patriotic War battlefields took place in the Shamkir Province with MP Nurlan Hasanov, the Head of the provincial administration Rashad Taghiyev, the shahids’ families, gazies and the local public in attendance.

The ceremony participants visited the gravesides of Tural Juvarov in the village of Alasgarli and of Sehun Ibrahimzade in the village of Tatarli. Prayers were said for their souls and a tribute of respect was paid to their memories. Besides, a drinking fountain arranged to perpetuate the memory of Sehun Ibrahimzade was launched in Tatarli.

The people talked about the combat paths of the shahids and their courage in the Patriotic War battles waged for the freedom of the Motherland’s soil. The MP shared in the pain of loss of the shahids’ families. He also talked to the fallen warriors’ friends and relatives and with the attending gazies, and enquired after their issues and concerns.

Private Tural Juvarov is awarded the medals ‘For the Motherland’, ‘For Distinction in Battle’ and ‘For Liberation of Khojavend’ to the corresponding decrees of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic for having doing his filial duty to the homeland and the nation and evicting the malicious enemy from our lands. Private Sehun Ibrahimzade is posthumously decorated with the medals ‘For the Motherland’ and ‘For Distinction in Battle’.
