Deputy Chair of the Milli Majlis, a parliamentary committee chairman Bakhtiyar Aliyev, Defence Ministry officials and members of the local public joined the commemoration of the shahid Lieutenant Colonel Hamdam Mayil oglu Agayev on 30 October.  

Adil Aliyev said at the event that Lieutenant Colonel Agayev had died a hero’s death on the Patriotic War battlefield whilst serving in the ranks of our courageous Army led by President and the victorious Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev. Hamdam Agayev who had shown instances of unparalleled heroism together with his companions in arms had made a contribution of his own to the Glorious Victory. The territorial integrity of the country was restored specifically at the cost of the life and blood of such of her sons as Hamdam Agayev. We are indebted to our shahids; their children will forever be embraced with the state care and support.

The deputy chair of the Milli Majlis stressed that the memory of our shahids would stay precious to us forever; he asked the Almighty to rest their souls in peace and wished the gazies a speedy recovery.
