A memory day for the shahids of the 44 days’ Patriotic War for de-occupation of our lands was organised in the town of Nakhchivan.

They commemorated Captain Ashur Beybala oglu Jamiyev, Major Sadig Ali oglu Hasanov, Senior Lieutenants Ragib Adil oglu Huseynov, Ismayil Mehman oglu Valiyev, Elnur Elsevar oglu Zeynalov and Fuad Nazim oglu Alizade, and Lieutenants Vali Vali oglu Guliyev, Ibrahim Etibar oglu Ibrahimov and Khansu Elsevar oglu Gurbanov.

MP Eldar Ibrahimov, the Head of the Nakhchivan Town Administration Mirsanani Seyidov, the shahids’ relatives, gazies and members of the public adorned the fallen warriors’ graves in the town’s Martyrs’ Lane with flowers and said prayers for their souls.

The shahids are decorated with orders and medals to the relevant decrees of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic for their heroism in the battles of the Patriotic War fought for de-occupation of our lands and restoration of the territorial integrity of the country.
