The Patriotic War Shahids Sahib Azer oglu Hasanov and Taleh Maharram oglu Abdullayev were commemorated in the town of Ganja with the MPs Musa Guliyev and Parvin Karimzade, the Head of the Ganja City Administration Niyazi Bayramov, the shahids’ family members, gazies and the local public in attendance.

They went to the gravesides in the Martyrs’ Lane in Ganja and decorated them with wreaths and flowers. The due tribute was paid to the memory of the men killed in action for freeing their native land from the Armenian occupation. Prayers were said for their souls.

Pursuant to the relevant decrees of President Ilham Aliyev, Sahib Hasanov is posthumously decorated with the medals ‘For the Motherland’, ‘For Liberation of Kalbajar’ and ‘For Military Merit’, and Taleh Abdullayev with the medals ‘For the Motherland’, ‘For Liberation of Jabrayil’, ‘For Liberation of Gubadli’ and ‘For Military Merit’, in recognition of their courage and service with distinction at the war.
