Shahids Remembrance Day in Ganja
The 44-day Patriotic War shahids Rauf Vaghif oglu Asgarov and Samir Ilham oglu Abdullayev were remembered in the Martyrs’ Lane of the city of Ganja where the Milli Majlis committee chairman Musa Guliyev and the head of the city administration Niyazi Bayramov had joined the shahids’ relatives, mothers of the other servicemen fallen at the War and members of the public of Ganja.
Prayers were said for the souls of Asgarov and Abdullayev; their graves were adorned with flowers.
Following the relevant decrees of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic, Rauf Asgarov is decorated with the medal ‘For the Motherland’ and Samir Abdullayev with the medals ‘For the Motherland’, ‘For Distinction in Battle’ and ‘For Liberation of Fuzuli’, both posthumously, in consideration of their input in the battles for the territorial integrity of the country and for outstanding discharge of the combat duties set before their respective detachments.

The 44-day Patriotic War shahids Elmaddin Nasib oglu Namazov, Mirmuraz Mirbaba oglu Jafarov and Elnur Khurshud oglu Mammadov were commemorated in the city of Ganja with the Milli Majlis committee chairman Musa Guliyev and the head of the city administration Niyazi Bayramov having joined the ceremony alongside the fallen warriors’ relatives, other shahids’ mothers and the city community members.
Prayers were said for the souls of the heroes as their gravesides in the Martyrs’ Lane in Ganja were visited; the assembled paid the tribute of respect to their memory and the memory of the others fallen at the War.
Elmaddin Namazov and Mirmuraz Jafarov are decorated posthumously with the medals ‘For the Motherland’, ‘For Distinction in Battle’ and ‘For Liberation of Fuzuli’ each, and Elnur Mammadov is decorated posthumously with the medals ‘For the Motherland’ and ‘For Liberation of Kalbajar’ pursuant to the decrees of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic for their input in the Victory and the territorial integrity of the country as well as for their having discharged their combat duties with glory.
